Something very German I had never seen before were Lebkuchenherze, which are heart-shaped gingerbread cookies that have messages written in frosting. They're given as gifts, much like a Greeting card. They're edible, but you'll have many years of bad luck if you do eat one:
When the sun went down we met up with some of Dani's friends and went into one of the famous beer tents. There was live music and beer by the Maß, massive glasses which hold 1 Liter each.
Today I'm going to Frankfurt to study for two weeks at an intensive language school...should be interesting.

I love how the only message on the cookies I can see/understand says "you are super". What a proclamation!
